Star Wars Has Gone Virtual!

Calling all Star Wars fans: virtual reality is almost here! We’ve all been waiting for an official Star Wars virtual reality experience, and now with the movie poised to release next month it looks like the wait is over.

Starwars.com suggests that the release date for this exciting VR experience will be December 2, 2015, a few weeks before the new movie. The Lucasfilm, Disney, Google, and Verizon collaboration includes "a compelling story, which ties directly into the opening of Star Wars: The Force Awakens" using the "very latest cutting-edge Virtual Reality technology." So get ready to jump aboard your favorite starship because this adventure is going to be epic.

Of course, you're going to need a smartphone to see it - and a Google Cardboard viewer, but you'll be able to pick one of these up at a Verizon store. This new interactive experience promises fans an innovative way to connect with their favorite characters and will hopefully include at least one tour of the Millennium Falcon. So get your goggles (and light sabers) ready, it’s going to be awesome!
